The AIR-X has been designed to save weight compared to a traditional fairway wood. It is built with a lighter carbon crown material to reduce overall weight on the clubhead by 2-grams, and is fitted with a lighter 48-gram shaft, plus a 41-gram grip to make this feel significantly lighter.

It is also equipped with weighting localised around the back and heel, this makes it much easier to produce a draw shaped flight and helps to maintain added stability on off-centre ball strikes.
